Mosaic Heart Mosaic Workshop

Mosaic heart workshops medium to hard level (indoor heart size 31cm x 26cm): This is a mosaic course one day a week over four weeks on the following dates: (When booking, please make sure you are available on all the dates). Total hours of course is twenty hours, 10am to 3pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to discover how to make a mosaic at a more advanced level in the shape of a heart as a gift for a loved one or some 'you time' to discover a new craft. No experience is necessary, just some commitment and enthusiasm, although the ability to cut and stick small tile pieces is a good skill to have. 
 
We will make two mosaics, one a mosaic coaster and the other a mosaic heart. The heart can be fitted or hung on a wall inside.  All instructions are given with patience and kindness in a relaxed and friendly environment.  All the equipment and materials that are needed are provided including safety equipment such as gloves and goggles. 
 
Even though these workshops are aimed at a harder level, the actual making of the mosaic is very easy but just with a slightly detailed design (a lovely humming bird and heart design) and cutting of tiles is required. 
 
I will walk you through every stage of making the heart mosaic from creating the design, to transferring it onto the wooden heart, to cutting, gluing, grouting, fitting and explaining how to hang the mosaic.
 
The workshops will be run on one day a week, over four weeks. Each workshop consists of 4 and a half hours including a lunch break, (15.5 hours in total). The workshops take place in a relaxed caring environment with tea, coffee and biscuits given by an experienced, qualified and fully insured mosaic artist.
