Aberkenfig WW1 Armistice Mosaics

Updated: Mar 8, 2019

On Sunday 11th November 2018 exactly 100 years since the end of WW1 we gathered together in Aberkenfig Town Square for the unveiling of 3 mosaics. They were made by myself and school children from Tondu, Pen Y Fai and St Robert's. Many people including the local air cadets braved the drizzly weather to listen to the Archdeacon of Miskin's wonderful service followed by an amazing trumpet player. The mosaics stand proudly in the town square next to the other 3 WW1 mosaics completed in 2014 to commemorate the start of WW1.
